The Future of Storytelling events have gained a reputation for being the some of the most exciting explorations of immersive storytelling in our business, and this year's program—which takes place October 6-8 in Snug Harbor, Staten Island—looks like it could top them all. Main stage events that we are excited about include a discussion with Oscar-winning director and writer Steven Soderbergh about his career and Mosaic, a new interactive project he is developing for HBO; and an advanced screening of the Mr. Robot Season 3 premiere, followed by a Q&A with show creator Sam Esmail.

A main attraction of the festival is the opportunity to experience firsthand over 100 VR, AR, AI, mixed reality, haptic, sensory, game, and interactive video projects. This year, 40 of the showcased works are world and US premieres. They include Novo Reality, a 9-ton robotic arm that will catapult you through space while you watch an original VR film, and Edible Reflections, a multi-sensory audio and food experience.
