JOBY's GorillaPod Now Has Arms
JOBY's GorillaPod got a new, kind of adorable and weird upgrade.
JOBY showed us some of the new gadgets it's been working on. The company released its new GorillaPod rig, the 5K, which is the biggest model they have now. They took the old model and, through hours of brainstorming, decided to give it arms. You can now mount your phone, mic, and a light onto the GorillaPod. The whole rig costs $199, but for just the upgrade of the plate, arms, and strap the price point is $44.
The Mobile Rig, the smaller version of the 5K, has the same plate and comes with arms for the low price of $99. The other device is the Telepod Rig, a selfie stick with three legs at the base for a tripod function. It also has a cold shoe mount for a mic or light and is priced at $99.
