ARRI SkyPanel Firmware 4 Adds New Robust Controls
SkyPanel firmware update adds advanced lighting controls.
There are a lot of imitators of the ARRI SkyPanel and for good reason. Firmware 4 offers 10 new features adding more user control over its lighting story, the biggest one being Extended Color control that allows you to start with a color like a digital gel, HSI value, or color temperature and use eight different color adjustments to tune the look. The new parameters include warmer/cooler, saturate/desaturate, +/- red, +/- green, +/- blue. +/- cyan, +/- magenta, and +/- yellow. Adjustments can be made through the onboard control panel or DMX.
Light Engine DMX control allows you to adjust the individual light engines of the S60 and S360 fixtures via DMX. The S60 has two light engines and S360 has twelve. With the new feature, each light engine acts as its own mini SkyPanel with parameters for CCT & RGBW, HSI, or x,y coordinates.
Other features include 17 new pre-programmed lighting effects, a Stage Mode, and Ultimate DMX mode that offers any control mode to be selected within one DMX mode, a DMX Live page, a Strobe DMX channel, a new web portal, a custom RGBW white point and more.
Firmware 4 is available now and can be found here.
