It took two extra months, but the Globes finally came and delivered. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey appeared live on different coasts as a night of awards gave us a look inside every celebrity's Zoom room. And right away we got some jokes about what people had been watching during the pandemic.

“TV is the one that I watch five hours straight, but a movie is the one I don’t turn on because it’s two hours,” Poehler joked. “I don’t want to be in front of my TV for two hours. I want to be in front of my TV for one hour, five times.”

Special honors were bestowed on Norman Lear and Jane Fonda, who have been Hollywood icons for years.

The big winners of the night were streamers, as Netflix, Apple, Amazon, and HBO Max cleaned up across movies and TV. Minari won Best Foreign Film, even though it's a movie about the American dream.

Check out the opening monologue below and then the list of the winners.
