Leaked today by Nokishita, these five new lenses are set to be officially announced on February 14, 2019 - that is if Canon doesn’t push up their unveiling in light of its leak.

These new Canon EOS R system lenses are just further proof that Canon is undoubtedly set on doubling down on the Canon EOS R, with reports of “lower end” mirrorless EOS R camera coming (which may drop the unpopular touch bar), as well one Canon exec teasing an 8K EOS R somewhere on the “road map” in the future.

However, conversely, we’ve also heard directly from Canon Group president Fujio Mitarai that Canon may be shifting away from consumer cameras (mirrorless and DSLR) in the coming years due to lack of market demand.

Whatever the actual case may be, for the immediate future, Canon is still pushing its EOS R system hard and these five new lenses look to be another solid line for an increasingly polarized product - at least from a film and video perspective.

Here are the leaked new lenses.
