If you are a fan of the very adult comedy, Harley Quinn, you know that the show likes to push boundaries and buttons when it comes to DC heroes and villains. It's a hilarious show, available on HBO Max, where the laughs are aplenty. And so is the sex.

But a sex scene with one character got yanked by DC Comics.

Yesterday, news broke as an interview in Variety with co-creators and executive producers Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker went viral. In the interview, it was revealed there's one act that DC heroes are not expected to perform.

Halpern said, "...in this third season of Harley [when] we had a moment where Batman was going down on Catwoman... And DC was like, 'You can't do that. You absolutely cannot do that.' They're like, 'Heroes don't do that.'"

Sheesh! I mean, Batman is not necessarily the most emotionally educated person out there, but after all these years in seclusion, you'd think he'd want to make someone happy.

Halpern went on to say, "So, we said, 'Are you saying heroes are just selfish lovers?' They were like, 'No, it's that we sell consumer toys for heroes. It's hard to sell a toy if Batman is also going down on someone.'"

This of course caused Twitter to meltdown in the best way yesterday. Everyone seemed to have an opinion and wanted to get in on the joke. Kevin Smith reminded everyone that Oliver Queen had no problem pleasing the ladies, and even DC Animated got in on the joke. It really was a fun afternoon on social media.

Some of my favorite tweets involved people picking which Batman would go down and which ones would not. The only consensus seemed to be that Adam West could get it.

I understand protecting your brand, but saying heroes don't give women pleasure is backward and repressive.

Harley Quinn has been renewed for a third season and I am sure it will bring us even more fun and hilarious headlines. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.
