Think You Can Edit? Prove It and Win $50K in Cash Prizes
If editing is about rhythm, what better way to show your skills than cutting a music video?
This is sponsored content brought to you by Filmsupply.
This is the question Filmsupply is posing to post-production pros in this year’s Edit Fest. And if you win, not only do you become the editor of the official music video, you get cold, crisp cash.
The 2021 Edit Fest centers on storytelling through a music video. Editors will have the following tools at their disposal: footage from an original shoot by acclaimed director Alex Cook, access to clips from Filmsupply’s catalog of award-winning directors, and the song "Don’t," by Musicbed artist, Calica.
Using these assets, you cut an original music video. The top prize (Best Edit) will earn you credit as the official editor and $10,000!
Check out the official announcement video here.
How does the competition work?
Edit Fest submissions will be open from Sept. 7 to Oct. 8.
25 finalists will be published on the Edit Fest website, and voting for People’s Choice will open on Oct. 13.
Winners from each category will be announced on Oct. 27. A panel of industry-leading judges will select the three grand prize winners in the categories of Best Edit, Best VFX, and Best Color.
