It's hard to believe that Star Wars started just as an idea George Lucas had that a studio took a chance on. Now it's one of the most lucrative franchises of all time. Lucas has remained busy after stepping away from Star Wars and letting Disney run things.

But according to IMDB and some news outlets, he's coming back... at least on the small screen.

Lucas will be returning to Star Wars with Andor. This is all hearsay, but on the show's IMDb page it says Lucas is responsible for two episodes and some characters in the show.

While this could be phony, it's interesting that it made it onto the site. At the very least, this might be a spoiler that some of the original trilogy's characters will be appearing within the show.

Andor is a prequel series that takes place before Rogue One and covers the escapades of rebel spies trying to stop the Empire. The lead spy is Cassian Andor, played by Diego Luna. As of right now, Andor is slated for 12 episodes, but we'll have to wait and see if that's what officially happens.

All we know is Stellan Skarsgard, Adria Arjona, and Denise Gough have all been cast in unnamed roles. Additionally, Genevieve O’Reilly will reprise her role as Mon Mothma.

Are you excited about the possibility of Lucas returning to his creation, even if only for a few episodes? I know he was heavily involved in The Clone Wars show, and that turned out fantastic.
