Download Multiple Files at the Same Time With Silverstack Offload Manager

It's now possible to download more than a single file at the same time with parallel offloading from Silverstack download manager.

Pomfort owns the top end of the on-set file management world with Pomfort Silverstack. Luckily for the rest of us, last year it launched Silverstack Offload Manager, a dedicated tool just for managing downloads and footage reports with some of the high-end features that many of us don't need on our smaller productions.

If you are looking to reliably download, verify, and document your footage, Offload Manager offered a lot of functionality, though it was limited to a single download at a time. Pomfort has just announced that it's changing that, allowing for parallel downloading, which will be a huge timesaver for many productions.

Of course, you've always been able to copy to multiple destinations, which is table stakes for an offload manager. But now you can have multiple cards loaded up downloading to multiple destinations at the same time. Whether it's because you are shooting so much you fill up a card before the last download finished, or you are running multiple cameras that need to be downloaded at the same time, it's not uncommon to need the ability to have parallel downloads happening. Offload Manager can verify those downloads as well, in parallel, for the extra confidence in a successful backup you get from Verification.

only macOs ...
i use macOs at desk but windows on mobile, if they decide to build a win version...
i continue to use free version of Resolve for offloading with verification, review, dailies, trimming of raw and not only ... for free... and i have three resolve license.
i know, it's a joke, but when i work i avoid every single Os related solution, too risky. if i have problems i want to move along another computer, another Os, and solve it.

Seems like an easy way to fragment your data quickly!? Maybe I'm just old school but I'll stick with one card at a time for now.

Shotput Pro has been doing this for many years... don't use it anymore though due to their licensing which was supposed to be in perpetuity but they went subscription and now I can't even activate my old copies.
