Sony's New Wireless Shooting Grip Doubles as a Tripod
Sony gives filmmakers more versatility without tying them up in cables. Meet the new GP-VPT2BT Wireless Shooting Grip.
Sony has just announced a new tool that could make the set lives of low-budget filmmakers or vloggers a whole lot easier.
The GP-VPT2BT is a wireless shooting grip that allows users to shoot both single-handed handheld shots and static tripod shots all while offering basic camera movement options, like zooming, recording, and more.
Its body, which is dust and moisture resistant, can be adjusted in a number of ways so users can operate it as a contoured handgrip or a sturdy tabletop tripod. It's quick tilt function also gives users the ability to adjust the angle, as well as swivel their camera for selfie operation.
The key feature of the grip, though, is its Bluetooth feature, which allows users to control their cameras without the need of cables.
Key Features
- Bluetooth wireless remote commander
- Dust and moisture resistant
- Flexible tilt function
- Swivel function
- Multiple shooting modes: handgrip and tabletop tripod
Pricing and Availability
Sony has priced the shooting grip at $139.99 but hasn't given a timeframe on when it will be shipped.
