One of my favorite parts of entering a new year is to see what Steven Soderbergh watched the year before. Those familiar with his practice know what I mean, but for those uninitiated, Soderbergh lists all the media he consumes over the course of the year. He puts the date next to them so you can track his watching.

Like on Aug. 28 of this year, when he watched Glitter. He also saw early cuts on Mank, got caught up on Pen15, and even watched Die Hard right after Christmas!

It's always been a goal of mine to make something he watches at some point, but for now, I'll draw inspiration from his list.

Here's how the list is arranged:

  • All caps, bold: MOVIE
  • All caps, bold, asterisk: SHORT*
  • All caps: TV SERIES
  • Italics: Book
  • Quotation marks: “Play”
  • Italics, quotation marks: “Short Story”

Check out the entire list below, via his official site.
