Here are some quotes from an all-day Writers Guild seminar earlier in the year, wherein industry veterans talk about screenwriters using the internet to break into the industry. Another tip comes from John August, though you may not agree: use an email address from Gmail or your own domain. John's one of the panelists here:
The panelists included above are: WGAW Board member Aaron Mendelsohn (Virtual Artists), screenwriter John August (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), new media producer Doug Cheney (Big Fantastic), writer Jeff Zedlar, web site producer Michael Berman (TheBerminator.com), Google's Sunil Daluvoy, Facebook's Matt Jacobson, WGAW New Media Project Manager Tamara Krinsky, YouTube's Danielle Uhlarik, writer Peter Hyoguchi (Strike.TV), The Bannen Way's Bailey Williams and Mark Gantt, Blip.tv's Rafi Mamalian and agent David Tochterman (Innovative Artists). To find out how to get your new media project covered by the Writers Guild, go WGA.org/newmedia.
In related news, the WGA has added a writing for new media award to their list of annual honors, though the submission deadline for this year's awards has passed.

So on the web you can build sites, send tweets, and make friends on facebook. Fascinating. Millions of writers everywhere certainly should start doing that stuff in order to find someone to pay for their work.

Fascinating, right? This is still valuable info, but I suppose most people reading this site know about this stuff. Still, it's nice to hear from those with a bit more credibility...

Does anybody know what those three things that Jeff Zedlar is referring to are?
