Summer_grants_20121-224x93Cinereach, who we've covered previously, is a not-for-profit film organization that awards grants and fellowships to filmmakers in addition to producing a select few films (the most prominent current example of which is the terrific and touching Beasts of the Southern Wild). Documentary and fiction films from anywhere in the world are eligible for their grants, which range from $5,000 – $50,000 per project. Since 2006 they've awarded close to $5 million in total funds, and they've just opened their 2012 grant cycle; if you're interested in applying for such a great opportunity (as am I), you've got a month. Here are the details of how to apply:

We're very happy to announce that Cinereach is now accepting Letters of Inquiry for our 2012 Grant Cycle.

The submission deadline is Tuesday, September 4th at 7:00 PM (EST).

Cinereach will award grants of up to $50,000 to a selection of feature length fiction and nonfiction films at any stage of production, from development through post.

If you intend to apply, please visit the How to ApplyPriorities & Guidelines, and FAQ pages on our website.
