GoPro Unveils New Fusion 5.2K 30 FPS Spherical Camera
GoPro has also offered a pilot program for anyone interested in testing the new camera.
Everyone's favorite action camera company GoPro has announced Fusion, a 5.2K 30 fps spherical camera. Aimed for virtual reality environments, the Fusion features a new OverCapture creative solution that gives content creators the flexibility to produce conventional non-VR video and photos in HD quality.
Not to worry, tiny camera enthusiasts—it's not only a VR-capture solution, but you can also create the traditional content you've grown to expect from other GoPro models. As you might imagine, Fusion is friendly with all of GoPro's accessories.
GoPro is launching a pilot program for Fusion this summer for community partners to provide feedback. If you're interested, sign up here. Fusion will be a limited release at the end of this year.
