BB&S Lighting Expands Pipeline LED Fixtures

BB&S Lighting releases 3' and 4' models to Pipeline LEDs. 

The Denmark-based company BB&S Lighting has introduced two new LED fixtures in 3’ and 4’ (914mm, 1219mm) models to join an already existing lineup of 4″, 8″, 1’, and 2’ (101mm, 203mm, 305mm, 610mm) Pipeline fixtures. It was one of the first companies to offer lighting with remote phosphor technology which can yield a favorable uniform light in your setup. 

Pipeline Free fixtures come in three different color temperatures—3200°K, 4300°K or 5600°K—delivering 1000 lumens at around TLCI 96. Producing a soft light, the fixtures are fully controllable with no color shift and flicker-free dimming (0-100%). Additionally, the LED is completely silent which will make life easier for your production sound mixer.

The LED cylindrical form is 1-inch in diameter and spreads light over 180 degrees. A rugged aluminum backing holds the pipe in place drawing only 10W. The models can be powered via a 12V battery, 14.4V battery via D-tap, or AC adapter. You can install them as a single or multi-lamp reflector bank, as a stand-alone fixture or mount them on the ceiling, a lighting grid a C-stand or doorway. 

Each ships with a locking AC power cable and a cold shoe adapter with pin. The 3' lists for $449 and the 4' is set at $499.

If you're looking for a cheap alternative ($20) Ikea sells great strip LEDs that are 2700k Balanced. Not nearly as powerful as these but helpful when on a budget and you can stick them anywhere. They come in 3 sizes.
