How Larry Sher Shot 'Joker', Built a Career, and Almost Got Fired on His First Day of Filmmaking
Find out what went into creating the look for Joker.
We've talked a lot about Joker as a community, and that's only part of why we're extremely excited to be able to share a conversation No Film School had with the cinematographer behind the film himself, Lawrence Sher.
Sher takes us through his career from the early days (he calls his first day "the worst first day in the history of first days") to lensing the most successful R-rated movie of all time. This talk covers how he built his career and how he built the look of Joker. He has a lot of insights to offer and practical tools to share including his own database he's beta testing that he created out of necessity for his own projects.
