While a lot of the news surrounding Adobe Firefly, the company’s home for everything that it is offering and developing in the AI space, has been focused on agentic workflow updates, the company has now officially made its latest audio capabilities generally available to all.

Adobe Firefly now offers capabilities to generate music, speech, and sound effects in one place, with the same promise of providing commercially safe AI audio for users' creative workflows.

Adobe Firefly’s Audio Tools are Here

So, while many of these AI-powered audio tools aren’t new, per se, they are all now officially live and generally available to Adobe Firefly users. This means that Firefly’s popular audio tools like Generate Music, Generate Speech, and Generate Sound Effects are all now live and here to bring the company’s promise of commercially safe AI audio to your creative workflows.

Here are the main tools now being offered in Firefly:

  • Generate Music, powered by the Firefly Music Model, creates universally licensed original tracks tuned to your video's length and mood, so your music can go wherever your content does without worrying about takedowns.
  • Generate Speech, powered by the Firefly Speech Model with the option to use ElevenLabs, turns a script into clear, natural voiceovers with control over voice, pacing and emotion.
  • Generate Sound Effects, powered by the Firefly Audio Model, creates custom sounds that match the action, timing and energy of your content.

Adobe’s Generate Music tool is nothing new; we’ve seen versions shared over two years ago, but it is becoming a popular option in the Firefly toolbox for generating original tracks that are safe for commercial use.

The company also shared that its Firefly AI Assistant (currently available in Beta) is getting smarter and is now free to try. The Firefly AI Assistant can now be used for a wider range of tasks, including creating storyboards for films or video projects and creating brand kits for marketing projects.

Adobe has also announced it is expanding the list of industry-leading models available in Firefly, with Gemini Omni Flash joining other top models from companies like Google, ElevenLabs, Kling AI, Luma AI, OpenAI, Runway, and others.
