Blackmagic Camera 7.3 Update Adds Gen 5 Color Science to 6K and 4K Pocket Cameras and More
Blackmagic has released a firmware update that improves the Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, 6K, and 6K Pro models.
Big news for Pocket Cinema Camera users! Blackmagic Design has released a new firmware update in Camera Setup 7.3 that improves all three models in various ways. The most notable is that the 4K and 6K models receive Generation 5 color science. Gen 5 was introduced along with the URSA Mini Pro 12K, and filmmakers across the board were impressed with the color profile over Gen 4. Now Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K users can take advantage of the color science moving forward.
Among the other updates include an improved RGB histogram, a false color guide display, and color channel clipping indicators, which will be a big help out in the field. You can check the fill list of updates below.
Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, 6K and 6K Pro
- Upgrades the luminance histogram to RGB histogram
