Hot Damn: B&H Is Offering an Insane $6,000 Discount on This Popular Canon Cinema Camera
Currently on sale for over 50% off, this Canon EOS C500 Mark II has seen its price drop now by $6,000 to an insane sub-$5,000 price point.

Canon C500 Mark II
To be honest, this might be one of the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekends of all time. It’s certainly in the running. Top 10, at least once you factor in all of the outside motivators like inflation and tariffs. Yet, despite all of the great savings opportunities on B&H and other sites, this deal might be the most impressive one that we’ve found yet.
While not the newest cinema camera currently on sale, it’s certainly one of the most heavily discounted ones. The Canon EOS C500 Mark II is a very capable 5.9K full-frame cinema camera that can still pack a punch and be a workhorse for an aspiring DP looking to launch his or her career.
Let’s take a look at what the Canon C500 Mark II can offer with this sub-$5k holiday discount price point.
A Retro Look at the Canon C500 Mark II
Available on B&H with an EF mount and no CFexpress card or anything, the Canon C500 Mark II is still worth shouting out as a quality cinema camera that can perform well in today’s videosphere. A great option for corporate video, documentary film, or other narrative projects, the C500 Mark II features a full-frame CMOS sensor with an effective 18.69MP resolution.
This sensor and resolution combo allows the cinema camera to feature a 5.9K output in full frame, and crop (window) the sensor for Super 35 and Super 16 frame sizes while maintaining a high resolution.
This C500 Mark II model comes with a Canon EF mount and features an interchangeable lens mount system, allowing you to swap out the mount in the field for an optional Cinema Locking EF or PL mount, thereby greatly expanding the amount of glass you can use with the camera.
The sensor features over 15 stops of dynamic range and Dual Pixel autofocus support, and the camera uses a DIG!C DV 7 chip for image processing. All great specs and features that still stand up against the competition quite well today.
Price and Availability
Of course, this is the best part. Announced ahead of IBC 2019, the Canon C500 Mark II has been in demand for many years for a good reason. Its original price point of $16k was a nice indication of its worth at the time, and it has honestly regressed much since.
This new price point, currently sub-$5,000, could be a great savings option for a DP or cinematographer on a budget. Here are the full specs and purchase options for this currently discounted price point.
