It's hard to express how excited we have been for House of Gucci. Not only do we get a second Ridley Scott movie in one year, but the trailers have been so much fun. One of the highlights, if not the highlight, is Lady Gaga's performance. She's been amazing at showcasing her method acting as Patrizia Reggiani, the Italian woman who married into the Gucci name and shook things up, so to speak.

Gaga's accent has been the talk of the town. And Gaga recently talked to British Vogue about how she came up with the voice.

She said, “I started with a specific dialect from Vignola, then I started to work in the higher-class way of speaking that would have been more appropriate in places like Milan and Florence. In the movie, you’ll hear that my accent is a little different depending on who I’m speaking to.”

Well, now the dialect coach from House of Gucci is speaking out about Gaga's voice.

Francesca De Martini told The Daily Beast, “I feel bad saying this, but her accent is not exactly an Italian accent, it sounds more Russian."

Look, this is a movie about drama, so it's not surprising that it happens behind the scenes as well. I for one think Gaga's accent feels real to her character, and that may be all that matters. But let me know what you think.

House of Gucci opens in theaters nationwide on Nov. 24, 2021. Will you be watching?
