Panasonic, Leica, and Sigma shooters have new glass options. Venus Optics, the company behind Laowa, has made 6 focal lengths available for L-mount. The lenses are constructed using the same optical design as other available mounts, but the bayonet has changed to mount directly with cameras in the L-mount alliance like the Sigma fp, Panasonic LUMIX DC-S1H, the Leica SL, and others.

The two lenses video shooters should eye are the 12mm F2.8 Zero-D and the 15mm F2 Zero-D. If you're looking for a wide focal length without distortion, the Zero-D lenses are some of Laowa's best offerings. Laowa is known for developing unique focal lengths that don't fit the mold, including its 24mm "snorkel" lens, but its wide angle lenses capture great images.

The company does have a cine lens line that includes focal lengths of 7.5mm, 9mm, 12mm, and 15mm available in different mounts including PL, Sony E, and MFT, For now, L-mount is not an option, but that may change in the future.

The L-mount versions of each lens cost the same as other available DSLR and mirrorless lenses. You can find out more over at the Venus Optics website
