A new GoPro camera is on the way, and… that’s about all we know so far. Well, we know a bit more, but as far as official statements and releases go, all we really have to go off of are some teaser images and videos.
As we previously reported, though, GoPro has announced its next-gen AI-enhanced GP3 processor, which promises a new image-quality standard for low-light capture. This will likely be part of the next generation of GoPro action cameras as well.
However, let’s take a look at this new teaser video and explore what we might be able to expect.
The Next Generation of GoPros
Released on GoPro’s official YouTube page, we have a new teaser to explore. This one simply promises to provide some “glimpses from a new generation of GoPro.” The 22-second video showcases clips that are said to have been recorded with a new generation of GoPro.
The clips themselves are quite diverse and dynamic, and perhaps offer some interesting clues into what this next generation of GoPro cameras might be capable of. Some of the biggest clues concern the shots, which appear to have been captured underwater, possibly indicating that this next generation of GoPros will be submersible and capable of handling the darkness of underwater shooting.
We also get a decent amount of night shots, as low-light capabilities will likely be a chief calling card of this next generation of GoPro models.
Price and Availability
As mentioned above, this is all we have to go off of for now. The teaser video doesn’t offer any announcement date or pricing, availability, or release date info, so we don't have any info just yet.
If you are curious, though, GoPro does have a link for people to “get stoked and subscribe,” which you can follow here.
