Get Closer to the Action Than Ever Before With the New GoPro HERO13 Black
Capable of recording up to 5.3K60p video with HB-series digital lenses, action videographers will be able to get closer to the action than ever before.
While it used to seem like there was a new GoPro camera every year, the popular action cam company has slowed its roll a bit lately, which has probably been a good thing for those working in action and vlog-style content. There also hasn’t been too much new innovation to be had as the action cam market has pretty much reached its top point with multiple high-quality offerings all being able to capture very good 4K video.
Still, GoPro has found a way to make their product even better with the new GoPro HERO13 Black which is set to feature pro-class 5.3K video at 60fps and is also able to accept interchangeable HB-series lenses.
This latest GoPro will also have improved battery life and accessory options. So let’s take a look at this HERO13 Black and explore how it might be right for you.
Introducing the GoPro HERO13 Black
As mentioned above, the video specs for this new GoPro HERO13 Black are quite impressive this latest GoPro will have a 1/1.9" image sensor that will be able to capture 5.3K video at up to 60fps (as well as 4K120 and 2.7K24).
It can also capture 27MP photos and includes an improved 1900mAh Enduro battery for longer runtimes in all weather conditions, as well as additional power accessories not previously available.
The GoPro HERO13 Black will also feature HyperSmooth 6.0 digital image stabilization with AutoBoost ensures your footage remains high quality while reducing image cropping.
Video and HB-Series Lenses
GoPro HERO13 Black Lens
The HERO13 Black will feature enabled HDR/HLG for both video (5.3K and 4K) and photo modes to render more detail in your shadows and highlights. Users will also be able to grab 24.7MP frames from their videos using the Quik app, as well as record 2.7K video at a 240 frame rate for playback at 8x slow motion.
What’s perhaps the most interesting element here is that users will be able to (separately) purchase available HB-series lenses to specialize their footage for a variety of creative shots.
There’s an Ultra Wide Lens Mod that will provide a POV lens for action-packed scenes and landscapes. A Macro Lens Mod will be for close-ups with incredible detail, and there will even be neutral density filters to add motion blur to your footage without compromising exposure. And finally, an Anamorphic Lens Mod will help you achieve pro-level cinematics.
