James Gunn's New 'Suicide Squad' Trailer Is Here
The whole squad is back! Sort of.
After David Ayer's exit from DC, James Gunn took over the Suicide Squad, with a film coming to use later this year. Now, the first official trailer has dropped for the film.
Gunn put it on his personal Twitter page and on YouTube. Check it out below.
As you can see from the trailer, Margot Robbie’s Harley, Jai Courtney’s Boomerang, Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller, and Joel Kinnaman’s Rick Flag are back. New members include Idris Elba as Bloodsport, Nathan Fillon as Floyd Belkin, AKA TDK, John Cena as Christopher Smith/Peacemaker, Alice Braga as Sol Soria, and Pete Davidson as Richard Hertz, AKA Blackguard.
Gunn has described the film as a '70s action movie sort of like The Dirty Dozen. I can't wait.
The movie will debut day and date in whatever theaters are open later this summer and on HBO Max for 31 days. The release date is currently set for Aug. 6, 2021.
