Tokina has added the 25-75mm T2.9 cine zoom lens to complement the 11-20mm T2.9 and 50-135mm T2.9 MK II, all of which share similar characteristics and design including Super 35 coverage, resolving 8K resolution, limited breathing, and low distortion.

The Tokina 25-75mm T2.9 is a parfocal lens capable of covering image circles up to 36mm. Available in PL, EF, MFT, E, and F mount, it pairs well with a number of cameras from RED, Blackmagic Design, Canon, and Panasonic. When shooting full-frame, Tokina has their Cinema 1.6x Expander for PL or EF mount, which turns the lens into 40-120mm T4.2.

Better yet, all the lenses in the series feature an interchangeable mount to easily switch from one camera body to the next.

If you're looking for a lens that provides full-frame coverage without the need for an expander, Tokina does have its 16-28mm T3.0 zoom that covers image circles up to 45.1mm.

Optically, the 25-75mm T2.9 has 18 elements in 15 groups and an aperture range to T22. All three lenses share the same 86mm filter size and 95mm front diameter, making lens swaps on set painless. Standard 0.8m gears are available for iris, focus, and zoom.

The Tokina 25-75mm T2.9 is available for pre-order now for $4,999 and is expected to ship in July.

Tokina also offers the three lenses as a set for $12,000.
