NBCSN has launched CPTR'D, their new short-form video contest that focuses on sports-related stories. It doesn't matter if you're an amateur, student, or just a loyal sports fan, CPTR'D is open to filmmakers of all experience levels. So, if you've got a short documentary or feature that you want to share with the world, you could potentially win $10K in cold hard cash, or even see your video air on NBCSN.

From Ron Wechsler, Senior Vice President, Original Productions, NBC Sports Group:

Storytelling is part of the DNA of NBC Sports Group. CPTR’D allows NBC Sports to reward and encourage filmmakers of all levels, and give them an opportunity to share their stories with a national audience. We are excited to launch CPTR’D, and offer this new and unique content to our viewers.

The rules are simple: all submissions must:

  • contain sports subject matter
  • be no longer than ten minutes in length
  • contain originally shot footage
  • have been produced within the past two years

The grand prize winner will receive $10,000, while the Top Five finalists will receive a trip to Austin, TX for a Watch Party. However, even if you don't win, your submission still has a chance to air on NBCSN. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be chosen by a panel of judges, as well as by public votes. The Top 5 will be announced on February 4th, and winners will be announced in March.

If you're ready to submit, you can do so at the CPTR'D website. NBCSN will be accepting submissions until January 12th.
