'Game of Thrones,' 'The Revenant' Win HPA Awards for Best in Post-Production
This year's awards for the best in color grading, editing, VFX, and more.
The Hollywood Professional Association (HPA), which recognizes individuals and companies for outstanding contributions made in post-production in the creation of feature films, television, and commercials internationally, has announced its annual HPA award winners. This particular awards schedule differs from most others, including the Oscars, as many of the films awarded—such as The Revenant (Oustanding Color Grading, Feature Film)—were initially released in 2015, but expanded to wide release in 2016.
Game of Thrones prevailed in television, winning both Oustanding Editing and Outstanding Sound. In the feature film category, Sicario and The Jungle Book took Oustanding Sound and Outstanding Visual Effects, respectively.
