When it comes to lighting, there's never enough you can learn. No matter if you're a beginner or have a few dozen credits under your belt, you can benefit from continuing your education. Now the popular lighting company has returned with its Aputure Lighting Certification seminar.

You're probably wondering if it's free. Yes. It's completely free and will take place through different livestreams stretching from Los Angeles all the way to Tokyo.

Here are the details, directly from Aputure.

What is the Aputure Lighting Certification (ALC)?

In 2020, when everyone was forced to close their doors amid the pandemic, Aputure wanted to find a way to give back. With everyone motivated to make use of their time, they decided one way they could help was to give away some lights and teach the Aputure family how to become Aputure experts.

They hosted four weeks of livestreams and sent out over 1000pcs of M9s, MCs, and MXs to users who passed our quizzes and the final ALC Test. Now they’re bringing it back with even more timezones and more languages.

When will you be streaming?

This year they are expanding to include more regions and languages. They will be livestreaming from six offices and time zones, including Los Angeles, Tokyo, Shenzhen, Singapore, São Paulo, and Christchurch, and five languages, including English, Japanese, Mandarin, Portuguese, and Spanish, allowing anyone around the world to participate.

You can find a more detailed schedule in the table at the end of this document.

What will the livestreams be about?

The 2021 schedule consists of two weeks of livestreams. In the first week, you will discuss all of the new products released from April 2020 to June 2021.  In the second week, you will review the entire Aputure and Amaran product line.

Tests and prizes

After each livestream in Week 1, viewers will be able to take a short 30‐question quiz testing them on their knowledge. Users who pass this test will receive a free M9, courtesy of Aputure.

In Week 2, viewers will review information for the actual Aputure Lighting Certification Test for 2021. Members of the Aputure family who pass this 100‐question test will not only be eligible for a LinkedIn ALC 2021 badge but will also receive a free MC RGBWW mini LED light.

Since the last ALC in 2020, the company has released over 20 new products. The R&D team has been hard at work, and they want to provide a way for anyone to get up to speed on the latest innovations and maintain their status as Aputure experts.

The LinkedIn ALC 2021 Badge will also include a link to a webpage that lists the products certificate‐holders are knowledgeable in.

Aputure users who score the highest on the 100‐question ALC test will also receive the chance to win an MC 12‐Light Production Kit, with the winner chosen at random from the highest‐scoring percentile.
