NAB 2026 is coming up soon, and we’ve got more previews of the latest cameras, gear, and technologies set to be demonstrated on the showroom floors of the Las Vegas Convention Center next week. Beeble has announced the launch of a new AI-powered rotoscoping tool, which aims to deliver clean, detailed alpha mattes in seconds.

Let’s take a look at this new Background Remover tool and explore what you need to know about its capabilities before you either try it out yourself or check it out at NAB 2026 if you’re so inclined.

Beeble Background Remover Tool

Launched as a new AI-powered tool to build on the recognition that the company received for its recent Webby Award nomination, this new Background Remover tool aims to address one of the most time-intensive tasks in post-production, as rotoscoping can indeed be a time and resource suck for editors and VFX artists.

This new tool is set to leverage advanced AI models to automatically generate high-quality foreground masks from video, images, or image sequences. The goal is to handle all the complex motion, occlusion, and fine details, such as hair and motion blur, in your compositions.

A Pro-Grade AI Rotoscoping Tool

What’s neat about this new tool, as from what we’ve seen shared from Beeble so far, is that it can process up to 20 video or image files at once, as well as work with image sequences of up to 2,000 frames. The preview frames are generated instantly, too, which means results can be assessed quickly before you commit to full processing for your compositions.

For more complex shots, the Background Remover tool also includes an interactive masking interface for more precise subject selection, giving users greater control over exactly what remains in each frame.

Price and Availability

Overall, this does look like a helpful tool that can support a range of export formats and has been designed for seamless integration into post-production environments.

These formats include 10-bit RGBA video files with embedded alpha channels, RGBA PNG sequences for frame-by-frame compositing, and alpha-only outputs in both video and image sequence formats.

With the flexibility of these outputs and some smart features for speed, this tool could be helpful for those looking to avoid time sucks and improve their VFX workflows in general.

The new Background Remover tool is available as part of Beeble’s Web App, which you can check out for more info on pricing packages.
