Perhaps the highest-end option in the company’s large-format cinema camera lineup, the URSA 17K 65 suffers from many of the same problems most high-end cameras do with camera-operation noise and hum, so this latest update is promising, as it aims to allow quieter fan operation.

Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65 Update
All around a big, bold, and perhaps beautiful—depending on how you feel about Blackmagic cinema cameras—high-end camera option, the Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K 65 features a large-format 65mm RGBW sensor with 17,520 x 8040 resolution and a ton of notable improvements over the URSA Cine 12K.
It’s also proven quite versatile, with interchangeable lens mounts, built-in OLPF, 8TB storage, built-in live streaming, solid color science, and integration with the Blackmagic Cloud and the Blackmagic cinema ecosystem.
However, as mentioned above, its operation and fan can make it too noisy for some shooting scenarios where you need quiet. But this new update should help with that. Here’s what’s new.
