In many ways, NAB has changed over the years. Well, of course it has, it’s been around since 1991 and remained a consistent event for film and video brands to showcase their latest and greatest cameras, lights, editing tools, and gear.

However, while for many years it was the place for companies to make surprise announcements and try to generate buzz online about mysterious new cameras and products, brands had kind of shifted towards sharing news not just at the conference, but in the weeks before or throughout their usual calendar year.

At NAB 2026, though, there is a mysterious new camera getting some buzz on the convention floor, but there's still a lot to learn about what the Kinefinity is set to offer film and video professionals.

A First Look at the Kinefinity Vista

So, from checking out the Vista in person at the Kinefinity booth at NAB 2026, we can share a few details. First and foremost, it’s important to point out just how tiny and light the camera is. It easily fits into the palm of your hand, and it’s light enough to toss around like a baseball.

From there, though, it gets a bit more mysterious, as it seems quite capable of packing a pretty major punch in terms of video recording specs and features. The Kinefinity booth featured many different Vista cameras set up in various configurations for different run-and-gun videography needs.

We do know that it reportedly supports Open Gate recording, uses a NPF550 battery, and has a nice, bright OLED screen that flips out for added versatility and even some extra handheld sturdiness. The camera also had some full-sized HDMI inputs, a headphone jack, stereo mics, and both a CFexpress card slot and a built-in SSD.

Price and Availability

For now, though, and quite sadly, that’s about all we were able to suss out about this new camera from the NAB floor. It does look quite capable and easy to use, and it’s likely to be moderately affordable, which will hopefully just provide another quality option for filmmakers to consider for their work and projects.

We’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more details on official specs and pricing.
