As a young filmmaker, it can be hard to find the right contest that caters to you and your peers. Well, get excited, because a recent announcement from the Ghetto Film School and Stavros Niarchos Foundation highlights their new partnership to host "Humanity Inspires Tech," a short film challenge for young creatives ages 14-21.

And this is not a free contest with no rewards! Winners will receive a $3,000 production award and a spot in the GFS short film completion lab, which will consist of a 10-week mentorship program with industry professionals, including award-winning editors, colorists, and sound designers.

That's an amazing way to get your foot in the door.

All short-form content will be accepted, including TikToks, films, PSAs, photomontage projects, animation projects, and more.

Following submissions, GFS and SNF will choose six winning finalists
