Watch: A Very Pregnant Natalie Portman in Stunning Black-and-White James Blake Video

Anna Rose Holmer, director of 'The Fits,' shot James Blake's new music video.

Natalie Portman is a big fan of James Blake. Perhaps that's why Portman agreed to star in the new music video for Blake's My Willing Heart just days before her daughter, Amalia, was born.

Anna Rose Holmer lenses Portman in luscious black-and-white as the actress floats in water and lounges on her bed, feeling her baby kick. Holmer, who directed dance troupe indie hit The Fits and, most recently, shot that incredible Alvin Ailey Moonlight dance performance, clearly has a penchant for filming choreography; Portman moves in and out of the monochromatic light like a life-giving specter.

I don't think there's anything wrong with this video. There are a few interesting shots that are nice but, overall, this is pretty unremarkable. The underwater scenes are 'run of the mill'. There are numerous filmmakers creating truly stunning underwater imagery, most you never hear about. As for the rest of it, if this wasn't Natalie Portman in slomo black and white, I doubt this would be showcased anywhere except James Blake's website.
