7Artisans Reveals New DREAM Series of Affordably Priced Cine Primes
A look at the new DREAM series from 7Artisans that aims to be a nice introductory cine prime series for aspiring filmmakers and cinematographers.

7Artisan DREAM Cine Lens Series
Every aspiring filmmaker, cinematographer, or hybrid-multi-hyphenate creator needs to start somewhere. And, for better or worse, that’s not often with cinema prime lenses. It’s usually with stock or kit zoom lenses, or, more often than that, with smartphone cameras.
Still, as filmmakers move through the levels, they’ll eventually be looking for cine prime lenses to give their shots the next level of quality and performance. And that’s where 7Artisans seems to be positioning this new cine prime DREAM series to hit.
Affordably priced, yet also appearing to be quite capable, let’s look at the 7Artisan DREAM series and what this new set of three cine primes will be able to offer for those looking to level up their careers.
7Artisan DREAM Cine Lens Series
Billed as an entry-level series designed to help every filmmaking dream be taken seriously and specifically tailored for those at the “beginning of the journey,” this cine lens series looks quite well-suited to do just that.
Set to feature a nice mix of affordability and quality, the lens series promises a subtle interplay of character, depth, and micro-contrast that should help transform an image into a story.
With this new lens series, which will include three options here at launch with a 35mm T1.5, a 50mm T1.5, and a 75mm T1.5, the lenses should be able to provide new highlights and shadows that flow naturally and are capable of providing extra sharpness.

The full DREAM Series will feature a 43.5mm oversized image circle, fully covering full-frame cameras, and each length will provide bright, clean imaging even in low light, with the goal of preserving rich tonal gradation for post-production.
The series is designed to cover all four major full-frame mirrorless systems: Sony E-mount, Nikon Z-mount, Canon RF-mount, and L-mount. The lenses can be used with no adapter required and no secondary flange distance correction needed.
If you’re curious to find out more, the new DREAM Cine Lens Series is available on the company’s website here, with each lens priced under $300 or the set of all three costing only $850 at launch.
