Looking for some new and improved lighting options for your projects? Whether you’re looking at studio lighting or options for out in the field, Godox has some new KNOWLED fixtures here that are set to bring a new level of color science to the company’s high-output LED lighting department.

Let’s look at these two new PL series fixtures, the PL600 RF and PL1200 RF, from the company and explore what they have to offer.

New Godox KNOWLED Fixtures

Announced and available on the company’s website, Godox has two new PL series fixtures that are set to make the most of the company’s PaletteLab color engine, which is set to deliver a new level of full-spectrum performance across the entire visible wavelength range.

Designed to be more than just a simple combination of light sources, this color engine is a complete spectral solution engineered for accurate color control at every nanometer, and these new fixtures are set to be a new home option for this system.

The goal of these new fixtures, the PL600RF and PL1200RF, is to deliver exceptional color rendering and precise white light reproduction. This means that fine details are set to appear richer, colors to stay more faithful, and skin texture to remain as authentic as possible for your 4K and 8K UHD productions.

Price and Availability

While there will be a lot more to explore about these new fixtures once they make it out to retailers (like B&H), for now, the big news is that they’re set to be the new home for this aforementioned PaletteLab color engine and ready to offer a broad 1800K to10000K CCT range to match different lighting atmospheres across film sets, drama productions, and commercial shoots.

As far as pricing goes, it looks like the PL600 RF is set to retail starting at just under $2,000, and the PL1200 RF will have options beginning at just under $3,500. For now, you can find out more about these new fixtures on the company’s website here.
