The Canon 90D has been on the rumor wheel for a while, but could we see it as soon as August 2019?
While scrolling the rumors section of Reddit this morning, I stumbled across a list of technical specifications that had been attributed to the Canon 90D. Speculation from sources like Canon Rumors theorized that the back half of 2019 would be when Canon rolled out a new mid-range APS-C DSLR camera and a new APS-C mirrorless camera.
Take a peek at the theorized specifications after the jump.
- 32.5mp APS-C DPAF Sensor
- Dual DIGIC 8
- Dual SD card slots
- 10fps still shooting
- ISO range of 100-51,200
- 45 AF points (no word on the number of cross-type points)
- 4K video at 24/25, 30 and 60fps (No word on DPAF in 4K recording)
- 3.2″ rear articulating LCD
- Dust and moisture sealing
- Built-in WiFi and Bluetooth
- $1399 USD price at launch
- Coming late August 2019
In September 2018, we heard about a 32MP sensor and now that seems like a given for Canon’s next midlevel APS-C DSLR. While the above list of tech specs seems wanting for more famous Canon models, it definitely aligns itself with what we've come to expect from the "D" line. And the 90D seems like the natural successor and an almost given for whatever comes next.
But we'll have to wait and see.
