Sony Unveils New RXO II 4K Action Camera with a Flip-Up Screen
The Sony RXO II includes internal 4K video, image stabilization and a neat little flip-up screen to boot.

For all those action cam-ers out there, Sony may have just dropped the biggest (er, tiniest) bombshell on the block with their new Sony RXO II action camera.
An update to their RXO camera which was released just two years ago, the RXO II looks to stand out immediately with its 4K (at 30fps) internal video recording, updated image stabilization and a nifty little flip up tiltable LCD screen.
Plus, as with any great action cam, the RXO II will be just as rough-and-tumble as its predecessor and the competition with complete water/shock/dust/crush proofing. Let’s take a look at all the specs and details.
Sony’s New RXO II Action Cam
Designed for all manner of adventuring filmmakers, videographers and vloggers, the RXO II will definitely stand out against its GoPro competition with its 180-degree flip screen. The RXO II, along with its 4K video, can also record up to 1,000 fps (uncompressed 4K HDMI output) and supports S-Log2.
Sony has also announced that RXO II footage can be exported to a smartphone or tablet with their “movie edit add-on” app which can be used to add extra smoothness and intelligent framing.
