Adobe Announces It Will Now Allow for Unlimited Generations in Its Firefly AI Studio
Adobe Firefly subscribers can now create unlimited generations not only with Adobe’s commercially safe Firefly image and video models, but also with a host of other industry-leading options.

Adobe Firefly Unlimited Generations
As we mention every time there are major announcements in the world of AI, whether you love it or hate it, it’s getting harder to ignore that AI is changing the landscape of film and professional video production.
And while there are many different players in the space, some familiar names like Adobe are doubling down on this new technology and offering some pretty sophisticated systems for those trying it for the first time—or looking to improve already developed workflows.
You don’t have to use it yourself, but if you’re curious about what’s going on, here’s what you need to know about Adobe’s latest announcement for Firefly, the company’s all-in-one creative AI studio, and its promise of unlimited generations.
Adobe Firefly Unlimited Generations
Adobe has announced that Firefly subscribers will now be able to create unlimited generations with industry-leading image models, including Google Nano Banana Pro, GPT Image Generation, Runway Gen-4 Image, as well as Adobe's commercially safe Firefly image and video models.
(Adobe previously offered unlimited generations when announced at Adobe MAX, but the deal was set to only go through the end of November 2025.)
The company shares that 86% of creators these days make use of creative AI in their daily workflows, and Adobe is aiming to power up those skills with more tools and the availability of these services and generations.
These generations are available on the Firefly web page, in Firefly Boards (Adobe’s collaborative, AI-powered ideation surface), and in the Firefly mobile app, which is available for iOS and Android devices.
How to Try
If you haven’t tried Adobe Firefly before (again, you don’t have to if you don’t want to), it’s been the big push by the company for several years now, with the latest Adobe MAX conference in particular being almost exclusively about its new AI models and workflows.
From Adobe, here’s an outline of how it recommends an ideal AI creative workflow:
- Develop and align ideas in Firefly Boards, where you and your team can bring inspiration, references, and generated assets into one shared space to iterate quickly, gather feedback, and move concepts forward together.
- Edit sequences with Firefly video editor, the browser-based assembly space for generative storytelling
- Continue to refine by adding sound effects or fully-licensed music tracks
- Edit your images with Prompt to Edit — simply describe your changes in plain language, such as adding or removing objects, swapping backgrounds, or refining details instantly
