With rumors fueled of refreshed MacBook Pros driven by a second-generation M1X Apple silicon processor, Apple will announce their next-gen lineup on Oct. 18.

But an expanded laptop product line is only the tip of Cupertino's iceberg. Here’s what we think we know.

Apple is expected to announce two new MacBook Pro laptops with 14-inch and 16-inch miniLED displays, respectively. All with the usual specs one would expect, but with a slight boost in performance from up to 10 cores that come from its M1X processor, up to 32 core graphics, and 64GB of DDR4 RAM.

But insiders also believe Apple will finally abandon their Touch Bar experiment in favor of a return to classic hard function keys.

In addition, a second-generation Mac Mini is expected, with a new industrial design. Apple may also finally announce new AirPods 3 and will ship macOS Monterey out of Beta.

The highly polished event will take place Oct. 18 from the Spaceship headquarters, and should make for quite the show.
