In a Tweet, Blackmagic Design announced that they will be hosting a livestream to showcase new features of the ATEM Mini and provide an update to their cameras. The event will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 1 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT.

While there haven't been any leaks or rumors about new Blackmagic cameras, the company has always kept a certain amount of secrecy with new product launches. It's more than likely the stream will detail recent updates to the ATEM Mini and the workflows behind compatible cameras. But, to speculate, simply looking at the graphic, they're really downplaying "and cameras."

Makes you believe they will be dropping something big.

We talked about the possibility of a 12K Pocket camera in tech we want to see in 2021. But we also can see Blackmagic adding an RF mount to its Pocket Cinema Camera 6K/4K or possibly going full-frame with a completely new camera. We'll just have to wait and see and find out together on Feb. 17.
