Following the announcement of the company’s new Osmo Mobile 8P, DJI is back with another new gimbal. Teased on the company’s website, DJI is set to introduce a new Osmo Pocket 4P gimbal, a follow-up to its previous Osmo Pocket 4 model.

This new DJI Osmo Pocket 4P is set to be bigger and feature a dual-camera system. It will also support 5K video and feature better photo and video specs than its predecessor. All great news for a company that’s still asking for its users to speak out on its behalf to fight its effective drone ban here in the US.

Here’s what you need to know.

DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Teased

Introduced on the company’s website and social channels, we don’t have a ton to go off of here in terms of official specs and features. However, we do see the new gimbal with its dual-camera system front and center. And that appears to be the big marketing and selling point,, as this dual-camera system should offer more advanced, sophisticated photo and video capabilities across the board.

From the DJI site, the company shares the news that this new Osmo Pocket 4P is set to offer “ flexible focal length coverage for seamless adaptation across diverse shooting scenarios” and that it will be able to combine “powerful upgraded hardware with boundless creative possibilities to usher in a new era of mobile cinematography."

And that’s about it, officially.

Teased and Leaked Specs

Unofficially, we have heard reports that this new DJI Osmo Pocket 4P will support 4K video, possibly up to 240 fps, and record in 10-bit D-Log color with 14 stops of dynamic range. We’ve also seen reports that the dual cameras will offer both a wide-angle lens and a 3x zoom lens, allowing for a greater range of capture.

Overall, though, we’ll all have to wait and see what the official specs are once this new gimbal is fully revealed. For now, though, it sounds like DJI is hard at work in markets where it has more control, as the company might be doubling down on gimbals and audio until it figures out where it stands with its drone products.

Now, will this new Osmo Pocket 4P be available in the US, even if its not a drone? That might be the biggest question that we hope to have answered here soon...
