Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor Just Got a Contrast Upgrade
In a new Blackmagic Camera 9.6.2 update, PYXIS 6K and Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 camera owners will receive some improvements when working with the PYXIS Monitor.

Suppose you’re a Blackmagic PYXIS 6K shooter, or perhaps a user of the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2, AND you happen to utilize the Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor. In that case, this very specific Blackmagic Camera update is going to be for you.
Users of these combos are going to get improved contrast levels on the Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor, as this update will also fix an issue with lower contrast levels that was bugging a few shooters. Not a huge update by any means, but a notable one worth downloading if you fall into this camera and monitor combo.

Again, this isn’t the biggest update ever, as it’s really only meant to address this one issue. What is nice though is that if you’re a Blackmagic PYXIS 6K shooters and use the camera for your films and professional projects, or if you’re a Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 owner, and you’re also using these cams with the Blackmagic PYXIS Monitor, you’re going to get better performance and results.

- Fixes an issue with lower contrast levels while monitoring video on PYXIS Monitor.

- macOS 14.0 Sonoma or later.
- macOS 15.0 Sequoia or later.
- Mac with Apple Silicon or Intel-based CPU.
- 8 GB of system memory.
