Tilta T-Mount Lens Mount Adapters
It’s no longer a thing of the past; the iPhone is truly a filmmaking camera. That is, for the right projects at least. And as content creation becomes more normalized and mainstream, it’s becoming increasingly easy to shoot videos (specifically for social use) on smartphones, and then to graduate to bigger and better cameras as you need to.
If you’re an iPhone shooter either by choice or by budget, you’re likely looking for ways to increase the high-end cinematic capabilities of your smartphone camera. One of the best and easiest ways to do this is to add lens mount adapters.
Tilta has released a new collection featuring lens mount adapters. Let’s look at the collection and focus on the new 16mm Wide Angle option.

Set to feature four options for adding a higher level of cinematography to your iPhone projects, Tilta has released its new T-Mount Lens Collection of lens mount adapters designed specifically for iPhone shooters.
The full collection is set to include a 10X Macro Lens, a 40mm Telephoto Lens, an 8mm Fisheye Lens, and a 16mm Wide Angle Lens. All of the lens mount options in this set will be easy to use, lightweight (all weighing under 5.3 oz), and capable of being securely mounted with T-Mount Adapters, which twist and click to lock on.
The 16mm Wide Angle Lens, in particular, is set to offer a fuller, cleaner vista without distortions or quality loss from the 0.5x iPhone lens. This lens would be ideal for photographing architecture, landscapes, and group shots, or for providing wide coverage of scenes with multiple characters.
