In the final push for awards attention, Sony Pictures recently released Concussion, the true story of one doctor's attempt to shed light on the long-lasting effects of head injuries in the NFL. Now the studio has released the screenplay for your consideration.

Before we get to the link for the screenplay, here's a look at the film's trailer:

The story of physician Dr. Bennet Omalu and his discovery of the long-term effects of head injuries in the NFL originally appeared in the book League of Denial by Mark Farinu-Wada and Steve Fairanu, which became a Frontline/PBS documentary of the same name (originally a co-production with ESPN until NFL pressure caused the sports network to back out). For Concussion, writer/director Peter Landesman has turned to another source, the GQ article "Game Brain" by Jeanne Marie Laskas for this narrative telling of the same true story.
