Similar to RØDE’s past short film competition, the Australian audio company RØDE Microphones has announced a new global podcast competition titled “My RØDE Cast”.

If you’re a filmmaking podcaster, podcasting filmmaker, or anything in between, the submission standards are actually pretty simple and accessible. All you need is a one to two minute podcast on any topic, in any style, or genre that is equal parts engaging and entertaining to impress RØDE’s judges.

Here are the full details on how and where to enter and prizes (as well as the freebies RØDE is giving away to the first 500 entries).

As stated above, all you need to enter is a one to two minute podcast on any topic and in any format to be accepted into the competition for over $150,000 in prizes.

“We are very excited to announce our brand-new competition, My RØDE Cast. RØDE’s reputation as the Choice of Today’s Creative Generation has been showcased time and time again through the success of initiatives like My RØDE Reel and Master Your Craft, and My RØDE Cast will do so once again, this time in the ever-expanding domain of podcasting. We can’t wait to hear what people submit!” - Freedman Group CEO Damien Wilson

While not a requirement to enter, the “My Rode Cast” competition is build around promotion of the brand’s new RØDECaster Pro Podcast Production Studio and PodMic - which are obviously included in the prizes - along with “goodies” from Adobe, Angelbird, Urbanears, Blastwave FX, Primeacoustic and more.
