Tom Brady Moves From Football Star to Movie Star with His New Road Trip Comedy
Tom Brady might have retired from football, but he hasn’t retired from the spotlight.
In his first post-retirement move, Tom Brady is dashing into Hollywood to produce and star in a football-themed road trip titled, 80 for Brady.
Hollywood icons like Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field will also star in the project that is being made by Paramount Pictures and Endeavor Content. The film will be directed by Kyle Marvin, who also co-wrote the script with Michael Covino.
80 to Brady is heavily inspired by the true story of four best friends, who happen to be New England Patriots fans, who take a life-changing trip to the 2017 Super Bowl to see their quarterback hero, Tom Brady, play. Chaos soon ensues as the friends navigate the wild energy surrounding the biggest sporting event in the country.

Marvin and Covino wrote the latest script based on a draft by Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins, who is known for co-writing Booksmart. Paramount has found success over the years with comedies led by actress ensembles and is throwing a Hail Mary with this ensemble of Hollywood icons and a retired football star.
The production starts this spring.
