Blackmagic Design Rolls Out Another Desktop Video Update for DeckLink IP HD Models
Manual NMOS registry IP address configuration for DeckLink IP models has been added, making it easier to integrate into larger 2100 IP facilities, along with other updates.

Desktop Video Update 16.4
Following up on some new desktop video updates released in a previous firmware update, Blackmagic Design is back with another desktop video version to share. This latest desktop video update (version 16.4) is out, and it focuses on DeckLink IP HD models to make it easier to integrate them into larger 2110 IP facilities.
The update is also set to improve stability when using Cintel Scanners with DaVinci Resolve. Let’s take a look at the full update and explore what it offers.

As we’ve seen with previous Desktop Video updates from Blackmagic Design, this update focuses mainly on certain DeckLink models, with bug fixes for DeckLink IP HD models and one issue for the Cintel Scanner.
So, it's not a huge update, but it's worth checking out if you’re an owner or user of either device in your workflow. The bug fixes for the DeckLink IP HD models are pretty significant in terms of what it’s set to add, and the full list of supported models is quite large, so that might be the main one here to look into.

Bug fix for Cintel Scanner:
- Fix intermittent crash introduced in Desktop Video 16.0.
Bug fixes for DeckLink IP HD models:
- Fix intermittent issue causing network settings to disappear from utility.
- Add support for manual configuration of NMOS registry IP address.
- Improve compatibility when using an NMOS registry.
