DJI Supercharges RC Pro 2 Controller with Major Compatibility Boost
The new DJI RC Pro 2 isn’t just for the Mavic 4 Pro, it’s also set to support some of DJI’s other top drone options.

DJI RC Pro 2
Outside of AI news, DJI might be the biggest headline receiver of the year so far. We’ve covered the ongoing drone ban battle with the US government, a host of new products and features that the company is continuing to roll out at an exceptional rate, and now with the news that DJI’s latest Mavic 4 Pro isn’t going to be available stateside anytime soon, it’s becoming the year of DJI.
Because of this non-stop barrage of headlines, it’s almost been lost that DJI rolled out a powerful new high-end remote controller alongside the Mavic 4 Pro. The DJI RC Pro 2 is one of the company’s best pieces of tech work yet. And, while it was released at the same time as the Mavic 4 Pro, it’s also set to offer support for some of DJI’s other top drone options like the Air 3, Air 3S, and the Mini 4 Pro.
Let’s look a bit more at the DJI RC Pro 2 and what it can offer for drone flyers and aerial cinematographers.
The DJI RC Pro 2
Designed to help DJI drone users capture footage with better accuracy, the RC Pro 2 Remote Controller features a built-in bright 7" Mini-LED screen that's capable of displaying 10-bit color and HDR contrast, and 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut at 1920 x 1200 resolution.
With this dynamic fidelity, users can reproduce D-Log, D-Log M, and HLG video with assistive display functions. The huge display lifts up from the controller on an integrated stand, tilting to your preferred angle.
Plus, as the display rises, the twin thumb sticks automatically raise into place. You can even rotate the display to capture vertical videos. The footage you see onscreen is made to come through without interference via multibeam high-gain antennas, which have a range of up to 18.6 miles away using O4+ transmission on compatible drones.
DJI RC Pro 2 Support for Other Drones
Despite it appearing like the RC Pro 2 is fully and only linked with the Mavic 4 Pro, DJI does report that this new remote controller will also be able to support other popular DJI drones like the Air 3, Air 3S, and the Mini 4 Pro.
This is big news for any owners or fans of these other popular DJI drones who want to take advantage of the RC Pro 2’s features and functions, including the remote controller's ability to utilize its rotatable 7-inch mini-LED screen for vertical video format capture.
