Nikon Zf Gets its First Major Update With Improved AF and New Features
Let’s take a look at new features like image recipes, digital zoom, and improved AF all coming to the Nikon Zf.

While the buzz surrounding the Nikon booth at NAB this year is mostly still centered on the company’s acquisition of RED Digital Cinema last year and the expectations for what might come with both brands’ cinema camera futures, Nikon has almost quietly released a pretty significant firmware update to one of its more popular cameras.
The Nikon Zf gets a new 2.00 firmware version that is set to add some notable new specs and features to the popular retro-style digital camera. The Zf will add improved AF, digital zoom, and new image recipes to allow hybrid shooters more control and fun features to try out with this throwback camera.
Nikon Zf Firmware Update
The most significant news here is going to be added support for Nikon Imaging Cloud, this cloud-based service is going to add access to Image Recipes so that the Nikon Zf will be able to compete with cameras like the Fujifilm X100VI and other popular point-and-shoots and travel cameras for hybrid creators.
The Zf will also add a new Hi-Res Zoom function that will enable users to zoom up to 2x in FullHD video with no resolution loss, an ideal option to try out when shooting with prime lenses on the Nikon Zf. This new feature will include 11 zoom speeds too, so users will be able to tailor the exact zoom experience that they want.
The Zf is also getting some helpful AF improvements for photography purposes, as well as some improved focus magnification for manual shooting as well. You can find Firmware version 2.00 on Nikon’s website. The Nikon Zf Camera
