RocXZoom Robotic Extreme Zoom Camera
A new Kickstarter has launched for the RocXZoom, a product built by ex-DJI handheld imaging engineers and called the “world’s first robotic extreme zoom camera.”
Set to deliver 50x Hybrid Zoom with 20x Optical Zoom, powered by Physical AI and built to leverage robotic precision to break the limitations of traditional long-lens tripods, this new RocXZoom is a compact long-range optical assistant that integrates recognition, tracking, and zoom.
Let’s check it out.
The RocXZoom Robotic Extreme Zoom Camera
With the tagline of “get the impossible shot with AI,” you can guess what the most unique factor about this new camera product is set to be. Powered by an on-board AI chip, the camera not only offers insane zoom stats and features, but it’s also set to be a game changer for birders, as it can recognize over 300 bird species instantly.
As far as zoom performance goes, though, it’s set to turn challenging long-distance shots into controlled, trackable handheld captures, making it ideal for birding, as well as other outdoor wildlife and distant action moments where lengthy setup time would make you miss the shot.
The camera will also be primed for long-range photo and video use, with 50x Hybrid Zoom, 20x Optical Zoom, and 40mm-2000mm equivalent reach designed to make distant subjects feel close without a heavy rig.
